Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a new computer and I'm not sure if i should get a mac or PC. I want a computer that will last me a long time and run really fast. Right now I'm using a PC but i don't like how sometimes its slow I like the way mac's look but they are really expensive. I also want to build my own custom computer but I don't know if its worth it.
Comment what computer you would recommend for me to buy i have $1000 to spend.
i would totallt recomend a PC for you, :)
ReplyDeleteYea, I prefer PC too.
ReplyDeleteI don't like Apple. If you like their operating system, google 'Hackintosh'. Hackintosh is basically a term to describe running the OS X operating system on normal PC hardware. Also, you can create beautiful PCs if you custom build them; take a look at the NZXT cases on PC retailer's sites.
ReplyDeleteI been with windows all my life and will never switch to apple. :)
ReplyDeletei gotta say PC
ReplyDeleteDefinitely PC. For the money, the hardware you will get in a PC (even if you don't build it yourself) will be better than what you would get in a mac at the same price.
ReplyDeletePC. You can get (preferably build) a computer 2x as powerful as a mac for the same price.
ReplyDeleteIf you're not too computer savvy, a mac might be right for you. However, there's no need to get a mac if you already know how to use a PC.
I've always been a PC guy since they seem to get you more bang for your buck.
ReplyDeleteI'd recommend PC. Although they both basically do the same thing PC is better for general Purpose, while Mac is better at editing software like graphic design and such. PC is better in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a mac.
ReplyDeletea3
I am another vote for PC.
ReplyDeleteI think Mac is for some certan profession like design or 3d. You should use a PC
ReplyDeleteEven though PCs do take a little bit more effort to learn and don't baby you as much as Macs do, I really believe that they're a ton more versatile.
ReplyDeletefor $1000 I would def go for a PC. can't get much of a mac for that
ReplyDeleteDon't think I would ever buy a mac..
ReplyDeleteBuild yourself a PC. With 1000 dollars you can get something absolutely stunning. Check out NCIX if you don't know about them already.
ReplyDeleteI like PCs.
ReplyDeleteGood post.
+Followed, brother
PC for sure. Macs are good for certain things but all-round, a PC is way better and you can get much better value for money.
ReplyDeleteVote for PC.
ReplyDeletePC if you ask me
ReplyDeletePC, hands down.
ReplyDeleteDepends what you want to do with it really, if you're wanting to do more arty things, a mac would probably be better, but if you're wanting for games and such PC.
ReplyDeleteAnd it'd probably be best to build your own, it'll come out much cheaper and you'll be able to get a more better computer.
PC rar!
ReplyDeletePC no doubt, You end up spending a little disproportionately much for the os, but the hardware you can get for it is soooo much less expensive. I put together a quad phenom raid 5 with about 1.8tb of storage several years ago for like $800 For the same money you could have probably 5.5tb for storing work documents(cough). With the multi-threaded handbrake I can encode a movie in about 20 minutes on a (relatively) old rig.
ReplyDeletePC is for winRAR's!
ReplyDeletebuilt my PC 2 1/2 years ago for around a $1000. Still runs strong today. Upgrading is cheap. Compared to a Mac, where you'd have to buy a whole new machine in order to upgrade. Also, to think what $1000 would buy today compared to 2 years ago. But, yeah, PC all the way. If you aren't comfortable doing the build yourself, find someone to help. If you are doing A/V stuff, get a Mac, like someone else said. Do NOT buy from a manufacturer if you can help it. Unless all you're doing is email and some web surfing, that $300-600 rig from HP isn't going to cut it.
ReplyDeleteI would always build my own PC, wouldn't even give mac a chance really. I'm using a computer I built around eight or nine years ago and it runs pretty good.
ReplyDeleteFor $1000, I'd get a PC. I using a Mac right now and I really like it, none of the problems I had to deal with on the PC. For my needs its perfect. If you had $1600, I would say get a Mac. For me, money isn't an issue so I use both. 95% of my computing is done on my Macbook Air and on the rare occasion I fire up my PC if I want to play a game.
